Themed Am Green, Am Hip™, the contest aimed to promote greater awareness and participation among the public, especially students, on the importance of environment conservation.

It was held in conjunction with the national-level Environment Week. The younger generation should be given as early awareness as possible because they are our future generation to ensure the world is a better place to live in, said Azam Sustainable Development Committee chairman Safri Zainudin.

The competition, which was announced on Sept 11, was sponsored by Hock Seng Lee Berhad, Titanum Berhad and IIC.

My hope is that this competition will also provide an avenue for all youths to show and prove their skills and creativity in conveying their views and voices on current environmental issues with their fresh perspectives, Safri added.

He also presented certificates and prizes to the winners of the contest.
